Salary: £30,390 Basic with a £45k OTE Plus Car
The role of Sales Manager is responsible for staff training and development and overall profitability of a high-volume airport.
The sales staff will deal with car hire for passengers that have just flown into Bristol Airport for a holiday or business travel.
All the leads are warm as they need the car to get out the airport, it’s a great opportunity to make commission.
The team you manage will be responsible for selling and upselling car rental to tourists, members of the local community and local businesses. The sales team will offer car & insurance upgrades plus optional extras like satellite navigation & child seats.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead a team of sales agents to deliver five star customer service.
- Work closely with the Station Manager to achieve incremental sales RPD targets.
- Maximise incremental sales through effective training, coaching and staff development.
- Manage staff performance, through documented reviews and corrective actions.
- Build an effective team through the promotion of a ‘Serviced Based Sales’ culture.
- Support the Company’s culture of ‘Continuous Improvement’ through daily communication with staff through dedicated coaching and feedback sessions.
- Ensure all administration is completed accurately according to operating procedures.
- Ensure that the station consistently achieves KPIs.
Key Skills/Experience Needed:
- Experience in management of direct customer contact, employee relations, budget and P&L review
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make prudent decisions
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport across the organisation with peers, staff and management, both written and verbal
- Strong team-oriented leadership skills and proven track record in a management role
- Ability to attract, evaluate, coach, and advance staff to create an effective team
- Working knowledge Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Power Point
